Kore US Reit Management has appointed Lau Hwei Lynn as an independent non-executive director, a member of its audit and risk committee and a member of its environmental, social and governance ( ESG ) committee, effective July 31st.
The Singapore Exchange-listed real estate investment trust ( formerly known as Keppel Pacific Oak US Reit ) allows global investors to invest directly in commercial properties located in the United States. “Kore” stands for Keppel Office Real Estate.
Lau, 56, brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services, spanning private equity, business management and capital raising across Asia and Europe.
She has a strong track record in building and scaling investment platforms, operating across complex regulatory environments, and leading significant fundraising and capital markets initiatives, the management says in a statement.
Most recently, Lau served as managing director and chief financial officer, Southeast Asia, at Warburg Pincus Singapore, until June 2026. In that role, she partnered with the Asia real estate management team on investment portfolio management and capital raising.
Prior to that, she was CFO and board director at 65 Equity Partners, a Temasek-backed global investment firm, where she was part of the founding team and developed the firm's inaugural ESG assessment framework.
Lau previously held senior leadership positions at American International Group ( AIG ), where she also served as a board director of AIG APAC Holdings, Legal & General Group and Standard Life ( now known as Aberdeen Group ).
Lau holds an executive MBA from London Business School and a bachelor of accountancy ( second upper honours ) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Following Lau’s appointment, the board of Kore US Reit Management will comprise seven directors, of whom five are independent directors, with effect from July 31st. The board will be led by Peter McMillan III as chairman. He will also serve as a non-executive and non-independent director.
As of December 31 2025, Kore’s portfolio comprised 13 freehold office buildings and business campuses across eight key growth markets in the US, with a combined asset value of US$1.3 billion and a total net lettable area of over 4.8 million square feet.
